Frequently asked questions
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Here we have collected answers to the most frequently asked questions about our acoustic panels, design panels and other collections. You will find information about materials, installation, deliveries and warranty.
What is the difference between acoustic panel and design panel?
Acoustic panels are constructed with ribs on an acoustic blanket that dampens sound and creates a warm atmosphere.
Design panel is a completely smooth board (without felt and ribs) and is mainly used when acoustics are not the primary consideration or in combination with acoustic panels.
How do you install acoustic panels on a wall?
The panels can be mounted with screws directly to the wall or glued to the substrate. We recommend screws for best sound absorption and long life. See our installation guide for more details.
Can the panels be mounted on the ceiling?
Yes, our panels work just as well on ceilings as they do on walls. When installing on ceilings, screws are used in studs or strong adhesives are used.
Is it possible to use acoustic panels in bathrooms?
Yes, in dry zones. The panels are built on a moisture-resistant MDF that can handle up to about 65% relative humidity, in combination with acoustic felt. They therefore work well in a bathroom environment as long as they are not exposed to direct water splashes or constant high humidity.
What dimensions are the panels available in?
Standard sizes are 2400 × 600 mm, 2780 × 600 mm and 3000 × 600 mm. We also offer special solutions for projects.
What types of wood and surfaces can I choose?
In our Wood Collection we offer panels in several types of wood and surface treatments:
- Oak (oiled, grey-brown lacquered, light lacquered, white lacquered, grey lacquered, black lacquered, black-brown lacquered)
- Smoked oak (oiled)
- Walnut (oiled)
- Ash (white lacquered)
- Teak (oiled)
In addition to wood, we also offer collections in stone (Stone Collection) , metal (Metal Collection) , FENIX® laminate (Colour Collection) and natural surfaces from Organoid® .
How much sound does an acoustic panel dampen?
Sound absorption depends on the installation. An acoustic blanket with ribs effectively reduces reverberation, and an air gap behind the panel provides higher absorption.

Our Wood Collection is normally delivered within 1–5 working days .
